I always love receiving Snaps like these, because they show me that y’all are actually running with some of my recommendations!
Being a skincare junkie, I’m always on the lookout for really effective, no-gimmicks products that make reasonable claims and actually follow through (general rule of thumb: If something seems too good to be true, it likely is).
If you’ve tried any of the products or techniques on my blog, let me know! I want to know whether or not it worked for you and if you were as impressed as I was. The coolest thing about social media and blogging is that we can build a community around the things we love and share our favorites with one another.
Most people I've met who are passionate about skincare became that way because of a personal struggle with their own skin. Speaking from experience, there are few things as emotionally debilitating as feeling REALLY badly about yourself. While personal insecurities can stem from anything, having bad acne (or other skin conditions) can be enough to make you never want to leave your house — I know because I've been there.
If you're struggling with your skin or self-confidence, keep going! I promise it's temporary and you WILL find a solution. While it's natural to compare yourself to others, try to resist the temptation.
That being said, I’m so excited for tomorrow’s post about a new “foundation” on the market that kicked the pants off my $50 Chanel foundation. I was literally standing in Ulta at 10 a.m. rubbing it all over my face gasping intermittently. People stared. I have pretty bad scarring on my cheeks from my Accutane days, and this somehow covered them.
Thank you for the support, encouragement and kind words. I appreciate each and every message so much!
All things beauty.
